Poldhurst Manor, a beautiful country residence in Harbledown and Rough Common, Kent, dates back to the early 16th century.
The estate features several Grade 2 listed barns converted for office and leisure use.
Recently, a new upstairs area was added to one of the barns, intended to be used as a gymnasium.
To create a light, airy, and well-ventilated space, the owner commissioned four Stella bespoke conservation rooflights.
These rooflights flood the large upstairs area with natural daylight, ideal for morning workouts.
Stella designed and manufactured the opening rooflights to fit an internal rafter size of 550mm x 850mm, each featuring a single glazing bar.
Inside, the rooflights are finished with stylish American Ash liners, ensuring a high-quality finish and excellent thermal performance.
The rooflights were made from Marine Grade 316 stainless steel with a C5 powder coating, ensuring excellent protection against the elements with minimal maintenance.
The glazing features a 4mm toughened Bio-Clean Natural self-clean and solar control outer pane, a 16mm black warm edge spacer filled with Argon gas, and a 4mm toughened Planitherm Low E inner pane.
The four opening rooflights are manually operated using high-quality solid brass winders.
